RIYADH: The Saudi Space Commission (SSC) launched a training camp on Saturday to introduce high school students to space sciences and technologies.
The SSC said two weeks ago that it had started accepting applications for the 14-day summer camp.
The initiative is part of its efforts to prepare future astronauts and engineers and attract talent through quality training programs.
The camp links school maths and physics curricula to space sciences. It provides participants with an applied learning experience for three hours every day for a total of 30 hours.
Camp participants will receive an SSC-approved certificate of completion after passing an evaluation process.
